¡°In the period under review, Citic Securities continued to develop its equity financing service that was already rated above most of its domestic rivals. What makes it stand out is its strong client base and good network within China¡¯s investor community, as well as its ability to bring counterparties together to complete deals. Landmark deals included the Metallurgical Corporation of China¡¯s IPO, which was the only IPO in 2009 to be completed in the ¡®first A-share, then H-share¡¯ offering sequence.
The past year was something of a golden period for Citic Securities¡¯ fixed-income desk, with several milestone transactions. The firm excelled both in terms of significance and the volume of the deals it executed.
